Features
The full rank-tracking toolkit, nothing held back
Some tools hide the good parts behind a “contact sales” tier. PicoRank's plans differ by size — keywords, domains, cadence — not by walling off features, and the Free plan is free forever.
Rank tracking
Know your Google positions, week after week
Every keyword you track gets its Google position checked automatically every week, and the results accumulate into a history you can actually learn from: what moved, when, and how far. When you've just shipped something and can't stand the suspense, the “Update now” button fetches fresh positions on demand.
Checks are organized into scans — named bundles of keyword lists, countries, and devices. Run one scan for your German mobile presence and another for US desktop; enable and disable them independently as your focus shifts.
- ✓ Weekly automatic checks, per keyword
- ✓ On-demand “Update now” refresh
- ✓ Multiple named scans per domain
- ✓ Position history with per-keyword sparklines
Why weekly and not daily? We've explained the reasoning behind weekly checks plus Update-now — and why day-to-day ranking wobble is mostly noise.
Countries & devices
Rankings where your customers actually are
“Where do we rank?” has no single answer: Google results differ by country and by device. PicoRank tracks positions in 150+ countries and treats desktop and mobile as separate measurements, because they are.
Combine them freely — one keyword set in three countries on both device types is just one scan configuration. Countries and devices don't multiply your bill — plans are priced by keywords and domains, so tracking three markets costs the same as one.
Keywords
A keyword workbench, not a plain list
Organize keywords into lists (per market, per product, per campaign) and tag them with labels you can filter every report by. Add in bulk, and PicoRank keeps your preferred display casing per domain while matching rankings on the canonical term.
Out of ideas? Suggestions come from four places: queries you already rank for in Google Search Console, pages people visit in GA4, the content of your own site — and an AI suggester when you want a fresh angle. One click adds them to tracking.
- ✓ Keyword lists and custom labels
- ✓ Bulk add with per-domain display casing
- ✓ Suggestions from GSC, GA4, site content, and AI
- ✓ Label filters across every report
Competitors
See the race, not just your lane
Add competitor domains and PicoRank records their positions on your exact keywords in every check — same countries, same devices, same week. The reports show who sits above you, where you're gaining, and your share of voice across the whole keyword set over time.
It's the difference between “we dropped to #5” and “we dropped to #5 because a competitor's new docs section took #2–#4” — one is a worry, the other is a plan.
Reports
SEO results that survive being shown to a client
The SEO Results view rolls everything into one report: current positions with rank-over-time sparklines, best and worst movers, geography and device breakdowns, you-versus-competitors, and backlink data (counts, referring domains, domain rank). Annotate important changes so future-you knows what that spike was.
PicoRank also watches which URL ranks for each keyword and flags drift — when Google quietly swaps your pricing page for a blog post, you'll know before your conversion rate does.
Share any report with a link or embed it in a client portal — section by section, you choose what's visible. Prefer spreadsheets? CSV export is one click.
- ✓ Share of voice, movers, geo/device breakdowns
- ✓ Backlinks: counts, referring domains, domain rank
- ✓ Ranking-URL drift detection + annotations
- ✓ Shareable / embeddable report links, CSV export

Site audits
26 SEO checks on every page, automatically
Rankings tell you where you stand; the site audit tells you why. PicoRank crawls your whole site and runs 26 checks across technical foundations (broken links, redirects, canonicals, sitemap accuracy), on-page elements (titles, meta descriptions, headings, alt text, internal links), content health (thin and duplicate content, freshness), structured data, and performance (Core Web Vitals, mobile usability).
Findings come with concrete per-page fixes and site-level suggestions, and every run is kept so you can compare audits over time — fix things, re-run, watch the list shrink. Very satisfying.
Want the theory behind the checks? The guide to optimizing your site walks through every area honestly — no account required.
Integrations
Google Search Console and GA4, read-only
Connect with one OAuth click or point at a property manually. Search Console tells PicoRank the queries you already appear for; GA4 adds which pages actually get visits. Both feed the keyword suggester, so your tracking list grows from evidence.
The integrations are read-only — PicoRank never writes to your Google properties — and entirely optional.
Teams & sharing
Built for more than one pair of eyes
Invite team members with roles, so the whole team works from the same numbers instead of screenshots in chat. Shareable and embeddable reports (see reports) mean clients and stakeholders can watch progress without needing seats, logins, or a meeting.
